The King's Speech

☆☆☆☆☆

One of the best films of the year…”The King’s Speech” (based on actual events) tells the story of Bertie (expect an Academy Award nomination for Colin Firth), a man with a debilitating speed impediment who becomes King George VI.
In an attempt to overcome his stammer, Bertie begins working with an unconventional speech therapist, Lionel Logue…played exceptionally by Geoffrey Rush.
Director Tom Hooper manages to create a dramatic and moving story told with a sense of humor.

Was Guy Pearce the right choice to play King Edward VIII?
